Wonders of SS15

Wonders of SS15

If you plan to come for a vacation in Malaysia, first do not think of Kuala Lumpur only. There are many places for you to enjoy all around Malaysia. My 1st highlight is actually a place in Subang called SS15, what makes SS15 unique is how the place is a structure for young Malaysians to enjoy things like coffee, taking pictures of foods and drinks.

SS15 is basically a district filled with cafe's, and restaurants or that was what they were well known for until the emergence of boba milk tea in that district. It is because of that emergence more and more boba tea shop have started to gather here to form the 1 ever boba tea district. As of now, there are 20 and more boba tea shops in SS15 alone

But SS15 is not only covered with boba tea stalls as they also contain beautiful restaurants and cafe of multiple cultures, for example, but Malaysia also has multiple cultures such as Malays, Indians, Chinese and many more

SS15 is filled with multiple types of restaurants and there are about 11 Korean restaurants are available in SS15.

But that is not my main focus in this blog however there is this 1 restaurant namely the K street where they have Ramyeon noodles which are so spicy they have a challenge where if a contestant managed to finish the noodles within 8 minutes they will take your picture and put it in their wall and so far only 18 people managed to finish it.

I'll also include the video link of 2 YouTubers who took on this challenge

The 1st Video here is done by our local YouTuber called JinnyBoy TV where he formed the team "hot guys" to travel around the world for spicy food.

The 2nd YouTuber that took this challenge is a Korean influencer called Blimey where they usually cover varieties of Malaysia related content and this one is special because they took the challenge to test how spicy it could be.

Besides Korean food, there are restaurants called "Mamak" in which is a place where locals hang out and eat the foods or occasionally a place for you to drink and watch sports as well. "Mamak" is a restaurant that has multiple cultured foods such as fried rice but they call it Nasi Goreng, Roti canai, "Nasi Lemak" which is a classic Malaysian dish and plenty more mouth-watering food. "Mamak" opens 24/7 so if you have any sort of cravings you can come over to eat.

Nasi Lemak is a dish that consists of rice, dried anchovies, beans, a sauce called sambal which is a smashed chili, hard-boiled egg and occasionally with the option of fried chicken and fried eggs. the way that it is prepared are usually with Malaysian coconut milk rice, served with sambal, fried crispy anchovies, toasted peanuts, and cucumber.

Roti canai is an India influenced flat dish bread that is extremely loved by countries like Malaysia. usually eaten with dhal, fish or chicken curry and occasionally with sugar, condensed milk, banana or even chocolate cream which is optional.

Nasi Goreng equals fried rice in the Malay language while Mamak is Uncle in Indian language cooked with sambal paste is a spicy paste, a combination of lemongrass, prawn paste, red chilies, chopped onions and garlic with tamarind juice

SS15 also have multiple hotels should you choose to stay over to wander around SS15 and the placing of the hotels are quite near to cafes, restaurants, and even convenience stores.

This is one of the hotels located in SS15 but there are many more to choose from.

I would like to end this entry here as there are more to explore in SS15 but these are just a small highlight that I provided and sometimes it is best to explore it yourselves to enjoy and I hope you have a wonderful experience exploring SS15 and Malaysia.
